We were very lucky to have been selected by Walpole to enter onto a 12 month mentorship programme. We’ve learnt the realties & qualities of what makes craftsmanship so important and the need to keep British craftsmanship alive and kicking. We have an undeniable rich heritage in this country for beautifully crafted work, whether its bespoke tailoring or hand made furniture, fine jewellery or glass blowing. Tomorrow sees the launch of London Craft Week #LCW15 and we will be showcasing a couple of key pieces from our paper art collection at the V&A in association with Walpole & Swiss watch makers Vacheron Constantin, who are masters in their field of watch making. It is somewhat fitting that we are showing our work at the prestigious V&A museum, as its also where the current sell out ‘Savage Beauty” exhibition is on show. It was where I began my career as an apprentice at McQueen. Where I produced several showpieces that are now on show within the exhibition.
Later this week we will be launching our first paper product at the iconic London department store Fortnum & Mason, with the support of Walpole and London Craft week. I will be in Fortnum & Mason’s on Friday 8th May ‘Meet the Maker’ will be from 3.45pm where I will be demonstrating my paper craft. If you are in the area and want an insight into what exactly goes into creating these pieces.
